I just thought: lol is commonly being used as 'haha' in today's instant message protocol conversations. Therefore, the natural progression of 'lol' will it to be eventually used in actual conversaion (which it arguably already is). Eventually I think that lol will be used as actual laughter. This would be weird.
Also I'm getting a free album from some no-name metal band soon. I'll write about it when I get to it, and probably tear it a little bit apart.
